Nepal earthquake appeal: Nepal needs your help
On Saturday 25th April, an earthquake of 7.9 magnitude killed more than 2.500 people and destroyed houses, cultural monuments and Buddhist temples. EBU member organisations connected with Nepal and the Himalayan region are directly affected by this natural disaster.

Green Tara Trust
Green Tara Trust is a healthcare charity working with mothers and children in Nepal, run by British members of the Triratna Buddhist Order, including Karunamati, known locally as “Dr Jane”.
Infinite Compassion, Sweden, has started a fundraising campaign in order to help individuals in catastrophy-stricken Nepal. The money will be distributed by Shamarpa’s and Karmapa’s Monastery.
Karuna-Shechen – Humanitarian Projects in the Himalayan Region
Karuna-Shechen, founded by Matthieu Ricard in 2000, provides healthcare, education and social services for the under-served people of India, Nepal, and Tibet.
KHCP – The Karmapa´s Healthcare Project
The KHCP mainly focuses on healthcare, medical prevention and education. Its goal is not only to provide healthcare for the monks and nuns of the monasteries and schools, but also to cater to the needs of the poor local population.
